Adam Oberman joined the mathematics and statistics department at McGill University in Fall 2012. He was at Simon Fraser University from 2004 to 2012. He spent a sabbatical year at UCLA 2010-11, and was a postdoc at the University of Texas, at Austin from 2001-2004 . He obtained his PhD at the University of Chicago in 2001, under the supervision of Peter Constantin. He is the director of the Applied Mathematics Laboratory at the CRM.
He was born in Winnipeg, Canada. He has two children, both born in Montreal.
